How many studs for a 136 track

The 136" track was the original cross over track. It was found on earlier stage cross over models and 2-up sleds. At one point it was even considered a mountain track! Times have changed a little bit. It's not the most common track on new snowmobiles but you'll find it on the 2022-25 Polaris XCR model and occasional utility sled.

Historical Significance

The 136" pioneered the crossover category, bridging trail and mountain riding before specialized formats took over those roles. This original crossover design established many principles still used in modern track engineering.

136" Track Specifications

A 136" track has a 2.52" pitch (space between lugs) giving it 54 windows.

Utility & Legacy Applications

The 136" remains relevant for utility applications and older crossover sleds where its original design philosophy continues to deliver reliable performance across varied terrain conditions.
