How many studs for a 121 track
The 121 snowmobile track is a classic and has been the most common trail tracks for decades. It features a 2.52” pitch (the spacing between lugs) giving it 48 windows to stud.
While it used to be the go to track for all flagship trail sleds, it has recently fallen out of favor for longer versions.
The amount of studs to be used on a 121 track depends on the power your snowmobile makes.
A 2 studs per row pattern is 96 studs.
A 3 studs per row pattern is 144 studs.
A 4 studs per row pattern is 192 studs.
The 2 per row pattern is ideal for sleds with 600 or below engines. The 3 and 4 per row patterns are ideal for aggressive 600s, and above.
